The 1424 Lead Edge Feeding Three-Color Flexo Printing and Die-Cutting Machine is an advanced corrugated carton manufacturing solution that integrates high-speed printing, precise slotting, and die-cutting.
Equipped with a variable frequency drive, touch-screen control, pneumatic alignment, and intelligent ink/feeding systems, the machine achieves energy-efficient, precise, and stable production.
Operating at up to 150 pcs/min with ± 0.5 mm print and ± 0.75 mm die-cut accuracy, it is ideal for high-end packaging printing with excellent efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Functional Configuration and Technical Specifications

Feeding Section

1. Control Console:

  1. The electronic control system features a machine separation alarm (signal wire detects the disconnection), providing continuous audible alerts during operation to ensure operator safety.
  2. Equipped with a pneumatic interlock device.
  3. The main motor uses a frequency converter for energy-efficient, soft start-up with overload protection.

2. Front Paper Feeding System:

  1. Air-assist feed system with 7.5 kW blower; the airflow can be adjusted according to cardboard curvature to ensure consistent feeding.
  2. Front-positioning pusher uses pneumatic cylinders for fast and efficient paper feeding.
  3. Independent back-push feeding system with adjustable height, powered by a motorized chain drive.
  4. Brush roller conveyor for smooth paper delivery, durable and wear-resistant.
  5. Optional connected-chain paper feed system (continuous or intermittent mode).
  6. Counting system with display (shows sheet count, batch quantity, and position).

3. Dust Removal Device:
A brush-type dust-removal system effectively clears debris and dust from the surface of corrugated sheets before printing, improving print quality.

4. Discharge System:

  1. Automatic stacking system aligns cardboard in place to reduce manual handling and waste (computer-timed control).

5. Power System:

  1. The main drive uses a variable frequency motor, reducing power consumption by 30%.
  2. The entire operation is controlled by a touchscreen panel.
  3. Automatic zero-positioning system for precise registration correction when feeding test sheets.

Printing Section (Optional 1–4 Color Printing)

1. Printing Roller:

  4. Quick-lock plate bar, suitable for 9 mm plate thickness.

2. Paper Feed Rollers:

  2. Lower roll φ 140 mm, thick-walled steel tube with polished chrome surface.
  3. Manually adjustable feed clearance (0–12 mm).

3. Anilox Roller (Steel Mesh Type):

  1. Outer diameter 180 mm (available sizes: 180, 200, 220, 240, 260 mm).
  2. Engraved steel surface, pressure pattern mesh, chrome-coated for durability.
  3. Balanced cylinder ensures stable operation, consistent ink dots, and uniform ink application.
  4. High-precision ceramic coating for excellent ink transfer and easy cleaning.
  5. Manual depth adjustment for engraving consistency.

4. Rubber Roller:

  1. Outer diameter 180 mm.
  2. Steel pipe coated with wear-resistant rubber, dynamically balanced.
  3. Polished high-strength rubber with superior ink-carrying capacity.
  4. Rubber hardness 60–65 shore A.
  5. 360° phase adjustment system (adjustable while running or stopped).
  6. Fine adjustment accuracy ± 10 mm.

5. Ink Circulation System:

  1. Pneumatic diaphragm pump for stable supply and easy maintenance.
  2. Ink filtration screen for smooth ink flow.

6. Oil Supply System:

  1. Mechanical oil pump.
  2. Circulating lubrication ensures equal oil levels in all gears and shafts.
  3. Sealed or spray-type lubrication extends the lifetime of moving components.

7. Printing Register Lock System:

  1. Pneumatic locking device ensures precise registration.
  2. When the unit separates, it automatically holds alignment for re-engagement without gear shift.

Die-Cutting Section

1. Lower Die Cylinder:

  1. Outer diameter φ 432 mm (not including die board).
  2. Alloy steel construction, polished and hard-chromed.
  3. Balanced for high stability.
  4. Mounting holes 50 mm × 50 mm.
  5. Suitable die thickness 25.4 mm.
  6. Die board thickness 16 mm (3-ply), 13–15 mm (5-ply).

2. Upper Rubber Cylinder:

  1. Outer diameter φ 434.2 mm.
  2. Alloy steel surface polished, hard-chromed.
  3. Dynamically balanced.
  4. Manual clearance adjustment with lower die.
  5. Rubber cushion 10 mm (thickness), outer diameter φ 454.2 mm, width 250 mm.

3. Die Grinding & Repair Device:

  1. Mechanical linear 40 mm grinding stroke — automatically compensates wear to extend cushion life.
  2. Reuse-ready rubber cushion allows 3–4 times repair cycles.
  3. Pneumatic or electric lifting reduces wear and further extends component life.

4. Automatic No-Die Mode:
The machine supports printing and die-cutting interlock operation, allowing skipping of the die-cut section when not required.


Transmission Section

  1. Made from 40Cr high-quality alloy steel, tempered, ground, and carburized.
  2. All gears HRC 55–60 hardness — ensures durability and low noise.
  3. Axle connection uses expansion sleeve (keyless connection) — eliminates play and supports long-term high-speed performance.
